Day 4 I don't think I can count soccer practice as a run

Well, busy day I had 2 extras so the chances of running during the hours of 6:30-3:30 were slim. Although we did go to the park it was a 1 to 7 ratio is that even legal? Well I did come back with all 7 but when we were there I did a couple planks on a slanted hill and some pushups on a slanted hill as well. I didn't really feel there was much for me to do at the park I had hardly gotten dressed for the day it was 1:30 but I was still in my yoga pants sleep shirt and threw on a sweat shirt that I attemted to take off then thought maybe not so appropriate on school grounds considering the girls were getting a little air. Well we then came home and off to gymnastics and rushed back to soccer. I ran the length of the field a few times chased a couple soccer balls and then it happened I was asked to take 6 8 year olds and 1 6 year old on a run. Bad news for them. Well I started off easy we went around the soccer field then I gathered them by the tree and we hit the ground for 15 push ups. Up we ran on a little more then back down for 20 crunches, at this time just as I thought I had something going I hear a cry in the distance. Dog on it it is Danny he was eating crackers and tipped the baggie to his mouth and missed and a pile of salt landed in his eye. So, that was my run.

Day 3 better late than ever

Okay so yesterday's run was fast and furious. I decided Mary could eat breakfast at home and I would walk her to school and head out from there. I was meeting a Camp Fire leader at 9:30 at Starbucks and drop off time 9:15 at School plenty of time. I don't know why it is so hard to get to school on time. I throw Danny in the stroller pack him some crayons, play doh with Mary by my side and frantically looking for her backpack for 5 minutes decided she left it at her friends and a Fred Meyer plastic bag would do the job. Bell rings Mary's class has already gone inside, I tell her go ahead give her a kiss and grab Lisa and we head off. I was pushing Danny in the stroller who was hollering words of encouragement "run faster, run faster." Well a couple 2 wheeled corners and up and down a lot of side walks we made it right on time 9:30! We meet with our gal chat then off back home we run straight home and I decide for kicks and giggles to add another loop. So then I finished wit 15 minutes to spare before I got Mary a quick shower and shine and out the door again a run with the stroller only to pick up Miss Mary on time.

Day 2

Wow, well busy day had my middle daughter's conference then back to pick up my youngest Danny from my mom's then went running it was cold and cloudy in the 40s. I didn't go far but put on my Brooks shoes 1 short sleeve shirt my awesome long sleeve shirt and then my running pants that have a nice safety pin in the front to hold them up. I think I pull it off looking like a big pleat very stylish. I then snagged a fleece sweatshirt from my mom and took off I-pod on and down the road I went. So I ran about 3 blocks got hot and off the sweat shirt and the rest of the run went well. I ran 3.2 miles at an 8.49 min pace. I felt good. Catch me tomorrow I will be running with my pal and pushing the BOB with Danny boy.

Day 1

First I start off with my creative first entry "Day 1" I have been thinking of this for some time and have decided I would give it a whirl. My husband is working out of town and I thought he would like to follow my running. I was later asked by a friend if he ever really followed my running anyway? I paused and said "No, but maybe he would like to he just hasn't had the opportunity." So, here is his opportunity and all the rest of you to follow my running, biking, swimming and whatever else I might get involved in. I can never have enough.

I am currently training for the River Run in Spokane it is a 25k. This was not the original plan. I started of training for the Whidbey Island half but schedules changed and I couldn't figure out how to run 13.1 miles with 3 kids. So, my husband signed me up for this one. I have one longer run under my belt at 10.6 miles which I did on the 18th short runs this weekend, nothing today, hopes of running 3 tomorrow will keep you updated....
